About the Conference:
The 11th National Conference on Advancements in Mechanical, Environmental, Safety and Health Engineering (AMESHE) is designed to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to share recent advancements in engineering. It focuses on sustainable, safe, through intelligent solutions across thermal and energy engineering, materials and manufacturing, industrial engineering, and safety, health, and environmental engineering. Organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Knowledge Institute of Technology, the conference provides learning to experts in a plethora of fields. Eminent speakers from premier institutions and industries are set to enrich the conference by strengthening academia industry collaboration and supporting India’s vision of technology driven sustainable development.
Objective
The objective of the conference is to provide an interdisciplinary forum from leading academicians and industrial professionals, engaged in research and development in frontier areas to present and interact. The conference addresses the role of interdependence of various fields of engineering and allied fields in a nurturing a sustainable and safe environment, and the impact of intelligent system in improving the same.
Expected Outcome
The conference is expected to promote peer-interaction and expose the participants to frontier areas though keynote lectures, consequently leading to stronger network of intellectuals and possible collaborative research and development.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Knowledge Institute of Technology (KIOT) is an Autonomous Institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and UGC, New Delhi. The college offers nine B.E./B.Tech. programmes, four M.E./M.Tech. programmes in Engineering and Technology, MBA–Regular, MBA–IEV, MCA, and Ph.D. programmes in all departments.
Knowledge Institute of Technology (KIOT) was established by the Knowledge Institute of Technology Trust (KIOT Trust) in 2009. Dr. PSS. Srinivasan is the Founder of the Trust. The KIOT Trust comprises 41 members, including 20 professors in engineering education and 21 budding entrepreneurs.
The Founder and President of the Trust, Dr. PSS. Srinivasan, is an IITian with more than 30 years of rich academic, administrative, and research experience. He has visited more than 30 foreign universities and over 100 Indian institutions and has extensive global exposure in higher education. He is also an active researcher, reviewer, and professional chair of various technical forums. At present, he serves as the Executive Chairman of KIOT and oversees Strategic Planning and Execution, Curriculum Design and Delivery, Research and Consultancy, International Connect, and Incubation and Start-ups. He is the Managing Director of the iStartKIOT MXincubator Foundation, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and start-up development.
The Principal of KIOT, Dr. K. Visagavel, is a distinguished academic leader with 28 years of experience in engineering education, research, and institutional development. He is the Chief Coordinator of the AICTE IDEA Lab and actively mentors innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up activities on campus. He is the Founding Chairman of the SAEISS Salem Division and an active MC member of SAEISS. He has visited top-ranked universities in the USA, Japan, and Singapore. Under his leadership, KIOT has signed MoUs with Taylor’s University and INTI International University, Malaysia, for student exchange programmes and international collaborations in research and publications.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Knowledge Institute of Technology is one of the leading departments of the institution, committed to excellence in engineering education, research, innovation, industry collaboration, and holistic student development. The department offers B.E. Mechanical Engineering, M.E. Industrial Safety Engineering, and Ph.D. programmes with a strong focus on industry readiness and emerging technologies.
The department is NBA-accredited and supported by highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are actively involved in teaching, research, consultancy, and innovation activities. The department has achieved 2,143 citations, an h-index of 23, and an i10-index of 47, reflecting its significant research contributions and academic impact. Well-established laboratories with advanced facilities and industrial software such as CATIA, ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB, NX CAD, CREO, HyperMesh, and CNC technologies provide students with strong practical exposure in design, manufacturing, automation, simulation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
To enhance industry-oriented learning, the department has established Centres of Excellence in collaboration with leading industries, including Automotive Technology with Ashok Leyland, CAD and Digital Manufacturing with Harita Techserv, Industry 4.0 with Delphi TVS, Quality Engineering with Nathan & Nathan Global Inc., and Intelligent Elevator Systems and Industry 4.0 with KONE Elevators. The autonomous curriculum includes professional electives in CAD/CAM/CAE, Integrated Product Development, Quality Engineering and Industry 4.0, and Sustainable Energy Engineering.
The department maintains active professional engagement through memberships and student chapters in SAEINDIA, ISHRAE, and ASME. Students are encouraged to participate in internships, industrial visits, technical competitions, hackathons, workshops, innovation activities, entrepreneurship initiatives, and technical clubs to enhance their leadership, teamwork, and technical skills.
